Fintech Trends in LATAM

Challenge

To generate data that allows us to demonstrate knowledge of the regional payments market and secure organic editorial spaces in the media to create awareness of Rapyd, a global Fintech-as-a-service, with little presence in LATAM.

Strategy

Conduct an online survey at the regional level in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, yielding insights related to Traditional Banks vs. Neobanks, E-Commerce vs. Social Commerce, and insights on the openness to adopting global payment trends.

From the survey results, several local and regional content pieces were created for each market, which served to reach different sectors of interest for Rapyd, achieving significant publications and beginning to position the brand in the mental map of regional payment fintechs among journalists.

Results

Within a span of 2 months, we obtained over 50 publications, achieving Earned Media worth over USD 60K, mostly in Tier 1 business and technology media outlets. Publications were secured in major media outlets in each country, such as El Universal, Business Insider, El Economista, Forbes, Portafolio, La República, among others. Additionally, we generated bylines in Entrepreneur Magazine (Mexico), iProup (Argentina), and Diario La República (Colombia).
