Getting Ahead of "Buen Fin"

Challenge

Get ahead of the competition and dominate the conversation amidst a sea of information related to one of the year's most significant consumer events: BUEN FIN, ensuring that the information highlighted in the media would come from YouGov.

Solution

Twelve weeks before Buen Fin, we proposed to the client to lead the conversation by not only releasing information early but also by providing data showcasing the purchasing intentions of Mexicans for this event. This would allow brands to understand the needs of their key audiences and act accordingly. In this way, YouGov got ahead of and distinguished itself from the competition, which typically shares their data after the Buen Fin event and only shows post-event results.

Results

In one week, we obtained 29 publications in Mexico's most important media outlets such as Excélsior, El País, Milenio, El Economista, Líderes Mexicanos, and Alto Nivel. Sixty-five percent of the publications were in Tier 1 media, achieving earned media of over 830,000 MXN.
